Retrospective exhibition of artwork by Derek Steele.

While clearing out Derek’s studio, a large number of works, mainly watercolours, have come to light. These will be exhibited in All Saints Church, East Winch, on Saturday 3rd September from10-4, and Sunday 4th September from 12 - 4. Proceeds of sale will be divided equally between Fauna and Flora International and the church. Works include local landscapes, flowers, and some imaginary pictures. Come and see!

Norfolk County Council - disposal of Hazardous Household Waste

Norfolk County Council's annual amnesty for the disposal of household hazardous waste

will be at the Saddlebow recycling centre on

Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September between 9am and 5pm.

The service is provided free on those two days. More information may be seen on the NCC website here.

THE HOECHST CUP

The cup was presented to the village by the Hoechst company which occupied East Winch Hall at the time.The cup was presented to the winner of the horticultural show at the Annual Frolic.Since the Frolic has not been held for many years the cup has been languishing at the back of a cupboard.It has been suggested that a new purpose for the cup should be found.
