Borough Council - Local Plan review 2016-2036

The Borough Council is conducting a review of the Local Plan which sets out a vision of developments across the Borough up to 2036. The views of the public regarding the plan are being sought.

Included is a schedule and mapping, by parish, of each site which has been put forward as part of the ‘call for sites and policy suggestions’ consultation. (Note: It is understood that it has been the landowner who has responded to the 'call for sites...)

However note that

  • the information shown is purely based upon details received within submissions to the ‘call for sites and policy suggestions’ consultation

There will be a 'Consultation Event' held at the Town Hall on 12 March between 2-pm and 7pm.

The consultation opens on 4th. March and continues until 5pm on 15th. April - all comments must be submitted by that time. Online comments may be made here

The draft plan will be published in winter 2019 and submitted to the Planning Inspectorate in March 2020. The Inspectors report is due in January 2021 and it is expected that the plan will be adopted in March 2021.

CONTROL OF DOGS

Take notice that on the 1 December 2018 the following Public Space Protection Order will cease to have effect:

The Public Spaces Protection Order (Control of Dogs) - (Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk) 2015.

A new order becomes effective on the same date - see below.

Section 2 - Making of a Public Space Protection Order

Take notice that on the 1 December 2018 the following Public Spaces Protection Order will come into force.

The Public Spaces Protection Order (Control of Dogs) - (Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk) 2018

The effect of the order will make it an offence to

  • Fail to clear up after a dog that defecates on any land to which the public have access with or without payment within the administrative area of the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk

  • To exclude dogs from any land defined in Schedule 1 of the order.

  • To require dogs to be kept on a lead of no more that 6ft on land defined in Schedule 2 of the order.

East Winch Children's Play Ground, Town Close, all year round.

The Parish Council provides dog waste bins within the village.
